Theo loves you
Theo is undoubtedly one of Belgium’s most iconic eyewear brands. In the late 1980s, Patrick Hoet, Lieselotte’s father, joined forces with Wim Somers to create eyewear unlike anything available at other opticians. The result was Theo, launched in 1989: a brand defined by character, boldness and a uniquely original approach to design. Fittingly, Theo is also an anagram of Hoet, the family that has been shaping the Belgian eyewear industry for generations.
To this day, every new Theo design stands out through its distinctive shapes and daring colour combinations. The frames have as much personality as the people who wear them. Sometimes playful, sometimes artistic. Occasionally minimalist, often extravagant. Theo loves them all.
More than 35 years later, Patrick Hoet remains the creative force behind the brand that has conquered the world from Bruges and is now available in over 50 countries. At Hoet Optiek, we are proud to give this family collection a prominent place in our eyewear boutique.
